How to Arrive and where to Stay?

You can arrive on Giglio island by ferry or you can hire boats from Porto San Stefano, which is located on the mainland. Without any doubt, you will love the short journey as the boat would sail through the amazingly clear and bright green sea as well as the Poggio della Pagana, also known as the granite point, which is about 500 m high.

It was the year 2012 when Giglio Island turned out to be more popular worldwide due to a mishap. On 13th January 2012, the huge ship Costa Concordia accidentally hit a reef, which caused some major damage to the ship. And as a result the ship partially sank.

Since then, huge numbers of visitors have thronged towards this island to witness the largest passenger ship to sink. No doubt, the scene of partially sank ship is terrifying as well as amazing at the same time.
