In these days used to be closed state industrial enterprises, offices, shops and other services:

  • 1st January – New Year’s Day (Capodanno)
  • 6th January – Epiphany (Epifania)
  • 25th April – Anniversary of Liberation (Anniversario della Liberazione)
  • 1st May – International Workers’ Day (Festa del Lavoro or Festa dei Lavoratori)
  • 2nd June – Foundation of the Italian Republic (Festa della Repubblica)
  • 15th August – Ferragosto/Assumption Day (Ferragosto and Assunzione)
  • 1st November – All Saints Day (Tutti i santi or Ognissanti)
  • 8th December – Immaculate Conception of the Virgin Mary (Immacolata Concezione or simply Immacolata)
  • 25th December – Christmas Day (Natale)
  • 26th December – St Stephen’s Day (Santo Stefano)

+ Easter holidays (Pasqua) with changing dates (March – April) on Sunday and Monday
