Lido di Dante – the smallest and quietest resort around Ravenna

Lido di Dante is the smallest and quietest of the resorts around Ravenna, situated 8 kilometres away of this city.

The local beach has retained its original natural appearance. In 2002, there was 1 kilometre of the local beach reserved as a naturist beach. There are some water parks and a lot of clubs. The neighboring resort Lido Adriano, is a famous place for tourists as well, which is composed mainly of residences and apartment buildings. As it was established just in the 20th century, you will not find any historical buildings or monuments here.

The beaches are sandy with a slight slope. One of the most famous water parks in the surrounding is Mirabilandia. You can try any of boat trips offers or train rides around the city. You will not get bored here even in the evening as every day, some events are held to entertain visitors.

Another possibility on how to spend your time on your vacation in Lido di Dante is a day trip to the monuments of Ravenna, where you will find eight sites registered on UNESCO World heritage list. Absolutely the closest monument is Basilica of Sant’ Apollinare in Classe, which is one of the most famous basilicas with rare mosaic decoration. It really lies just outside the resort, so you can get to the temple on foot.

Very close is also the city of Bologna or the small state San Marino.
