Val di Sole – a guarantee of good snow cover throughout the whole year
Val di Sole, which in translation means “Sun Valley” is one of the largest ski areas in the Dolomites, located on the border of Trentino-Alto Adige and Lombardy regions. It lies west of Bolzano, on the slopes of the huge mountain group of Adamello – Brenta Dolomites.
The area includes six ski resorts – Madonna di Campiglio, Pinzolo, Folgarida / Marilleva Pejo, Passo Tonale and Ponte di Legno, some of which are interconnected by ski lifts and cable cars. Together have more than 260 km of ski slopes of various difficulty. Trails are regularly maintained and, if necessary, supported by the artificial snow.

There are up to 103 modern lifts waiting for the skiers with a capacity of 80,000 people per hour. With the extended ski pass you can also visit additional ski resorts of Paganella and Monte Bondone. Val di Sole is also a great place for lovers of snowboarding, Marilleva resort offers a snow park with 250 meters long halfpipe and children’s section. Cross-country skiers can discover a landscape via several marked trails as well.
Val di Sole also includes the Presena Glacier reaching a height of 3,018 meters above sea level. Its high elevation is a guarantee of good snow cover throughout the whole year. You can then take advantage of summer skiing.
Val di Sole provides incomparable panoramas, bizarre rock formations, untouched nature with thick forests and alpine meadows and in the summer lots of colorful plants. Val di Sole is the ideal place to spend both winter and summer holidays, and certainly nobody will be bored here.
